Taghill Suing Client For RM4.9 Million In Unpaid Claims
Taghill Berhad announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary had served a payment claim on Dreamlike Development Sdn Bhd to recover a total outstanding sum of RM4.9 million.
The claim was made by its unit which was appointed as the main contractor for a proposed development of construction and completion of main building works and infrastructure works for the proposed construction of a 22-storey service apartment, in Perak for an original contract sum of RM48 million.
Taghill said the subsidiary had performed its obligations by carrying out its contractual work scope satisfactorily, as well as carrying out the variation works as instructed. At all material times, the said work together with the variation works completed are deemed accepted as there is no complaint received from the non-paying party.
The completion and handover of the said works were evidenced via the Certificated of Practical Completion issued by the Architect to Dreamlike Development.
