Samsung shows off a creaseless foldable display at CES 2026

It’s always a dream to have a foldable device without any visible crease. While the advancements in recent years have mitigated the crease to the point that it’s negligible – well, it’s still there. While it is negligible, the crease is still visible under certain lighting conditions – especially when harsh light from behind bounces off the screen.

So, when Samsung Display showed off this at CES 2026, everyone is intrigued. We even have a side-by-side view with the current-generation foldable display that are found in the market too. The difference is very apparent.

There are no further details about how it feels when we swipe across the folding line, because looking flat doesn’t mean that it’ll feel flat.

We also do not have any details regarding the availability or which vendor will be using this creaseless foldable display from Samsung Display, but the current guesses are the upcoming generation of the Galaxy Z Fold phones, and potentially the Apple foldable iPhone. iFold? iPhone Fold? Either way, we’ll have to wait and see.
