Qatar Airways Expands Winter Schedule with Record Flights to London
Qatar Airways has announced its expanded winter schedule, boosting flights to over 15 key destinations worldwide. Among the headline changes is the airline’s highest-ever frequency to London Heathrow, increasing to 10 daily flights – a new record in the carrier’s history.
The updated schedule responds to rising travel demand by offering more connectivity through Hamad International Airport in Doha. Popular destinations like Tokyo Narita now have 14 weekly flights, while other cities (including Dublin, São Paulo, Phuket, and the Maldives) also benefit from additional services.
The airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, highlighted the steady rise in demand for Qatar Airways’ renowned 5-star services, particularly to major cities such as London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo.
He also announced the launch of Virgin Australia flights from Melbourne to Doha, increasing capacity to three daily flights, and the resumption of services to Canberra, further strengthening connections between Australia and the world.
Qatar Airways is leveraging these increased frequencies to affirm Hamad International Airport as a leading global aviation hub with consistently enhanced passenger experiences.
This winter, Qatar Airways is expanding flight frequencies across several key routes, offering passengers more flexibility and better connectivity. Travellers heading to Abu Dhabi can now choose from up to six daily flights. Berlin and Frankfurt will each see up to 21 weekly services, while Cape Town increases to 12.
Casablanca flights have increased to five per week, and Dublin and Madrid each go up to 17. Johannesburg and São Paulo will offer up to 18 weekly flights. London Heathrow sees a boost to 10 daily flights, and Manchester climbs to 24 weekly.
Popular holiday spots like the Maldives and Phuket now have up to four daily services. Meanwhile, Sharjah jumps to seven daily flights, Tokyo Narita increases to 14 weekly, and Toronto now serves seven times a week.
In addition to the expanded network, Qatar Airways continues its tech-forward momentum by equipping more than 50 of its Boeing 777 aircraft with complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi.
Offering up to 500 Mbps, the service is available to all passengers and sets a new standard in onboard connectivity. The Airbus A350 fleet is next in line for upgrades, with installations set to be completed within the next year.
