vivo has officially unveiled its latest mid-range endurance champion, the vivo Y500, headlined by a staggering 8,200mAh battery packed into a surprisingly slim chassis. The new device aims to redefine battery life expectations in the smartphone market while maintaining a modern, durable design.
Record-Breaking Battery Tech
The standout feature of the vivo Y500 is undoubtedly its power cell. Utilising advanced silicon-carbon battery technology, vivo has managed to fit an 8,200mAh capacity into a body that is only 8.23mm thick and weighs just 213 grams. This new technology allows for higher energy density compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries, ensuring the phone remains pocketable despite offering multi-day battery life.
To keep downtime to a minimum, the device supports 90W FlashCharge wired charging.

Under the hood, the Y500 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, a 4nm octa-core processor designed for efficiency and solid mid-range performance. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
