Hibiscus Signs US$100 Million Financing With Brunei Islam Bank And Baiduri Bank

Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Simpor Hibiscus Sdn Bhd, has entered into a USD100 million financing facilities agreement with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) and Baiduri Bank. This agreement aims to support Hibiscus Petroleum’s growth ambitions in Brunei Darussalam.  

The deal also reinforces the company’s commitment to Brunei’s energy sector and aligns with the national priorities of Wawasan Brunei 2035. These priorities include enhancing energy sector resilience, promoting knowledge transfer and employment for Bruneians, and supporting the development of small and medium enterprises within the oil and gas supply chain.  

Representatives from BIBD and Baiduri Bank expressed their support for the collaboration, highlighting its importance in advancing Brunei’s financial and energy sectors.
