EY Launches AI Innovation Centre to propel AI Adoption Across Various Sectors

Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd (EY Malaysia) has launched its AI Innovation Centre to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across various sectors, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.

The centre is a nexus of three core components: The AI Lab, AI Academy and AI Research. The AI Lab provides a secure space to test and refine AI concepts, the AI Academy is dedicated to empowering individuals and organisations with AI knowledge while the AI Research is committed to advancing the frontiers of AI solutions.

To further enhance AI proficiency on a national scale, the centre will work closely with esteemed industry bodies, including TalentCorp and the Asian Institute of Chartered Banks.

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the AI Innovation Centre will complement the government’s ongoing initiatives to nurture AI development, positioning Malaysia as a hub of innovation and a competitive player in the global AI arena.

Ernst & Young PLT Malaysia Managing Partner Datuk Abdul Rauf Rashid said the centre represents a unique convergence of talent, where its teams of Data Scientists and AI Platform Engineers experts will collaborate to unlock the transformative potential of AI.

“It is a testament to our commitment to nation-building and driving progress through technological innovation,” Abdul Rauf said.

He added that the centre will become a catalyst for AI excellence in Malaysia, contributing to the nation’s vision of becoming a leading knowledge-based economy.
