Apple has officially released its latest 14-inch MacBook Pro in Malaysia, featuring the next-generation M5 silicon. The new laptop, which emphasises significant leaps in AI performance and battery efficiency, is available for purchase starting today at Apple Store locations and authorised resellers, following an initial online rollout yesterday.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro serves as the entry point into Apple’s pro-laptop lineup, replacing the previous M4 model. In Malaysia, the starting price remains competitive, matching previous generation trends despite the hardware upgrades.

- 24GB + 1TB: RM8,699
For power users looking to maximise specifications with the base M5 chip (up to 32GB of RAM and larger storage options), prices can reach approximately RM14,519.
The higher-end MacBook Pro models featuring the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips are not part of this initial release and are expected to arrive in early 2026.

The headline feature of the new 14-inch model is the Apple M5 chip. Built on a third-generation 3-nanometer process, the M5 is marketed as a “giant leap” for AI-driven workflows.
