AGI @ COMPUTEX 2025: New high performing hardware paired with AI tool for enhanced usability
AGI has joined COMPUTEX once again this year and with an even bigger portfolio than 2024, they have showcased lots of new stuff to offer to their customer now and/or in the near future.
Let’s start with their PCIe Gen5 SSDs. Their new AI858 leads the charge, boasting insane speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s read and 12,000 MB/s write. That’s the kind of performance that screams high-end.
But they didn’t stop there – they also had two prototypes on display. Project P14 takes things up a notch with 14,000 MB/s read and write speeds, pushing Gen5 to its limits.
Then there’s Project P10, a more compact option with a slimmer heatsink that’s great for tight builds or laptops. It’s a bit slower at 10,000 MB/s read and 8,000 MB/s write, but still impressive for its size.
And because high performance needs to be stable, AGI also demoed an AI-based tool that monitors SSD read/write speeds in real time. From what they showed, their Gen5 drives hold up better under pressure compared to Gen4, which is a big plus for users doing heavy workloads or large transfers.
On the memory front, their TurboJet UD858 DDR5 kits now come in more colors, so you can match your build’s vibe without sacrificing performance. These kits range from 6000 to 8400 MT/s, covering everything from casual setups to hardcore overclocking.
One of the more interesting reveals was the TF338 microSD Express card. It’s launching on June 10 – just a day before the Nintendo Switch 2 drops- and they are clearly trying to capitalize on the chance to push this as the go-to storage upgrade for Nintendo’s new handheld, and if it delivers on speed, it could be a must-have for faster loading times.
And if you’re into portable SSDs, AGI updated their lineup there, too. The EDM38 Pro now hits 4000 MB/s read and 3600 MB/s write, which is almost double the previous version. Meanwhile, the ED138 Pro gets even more compact while still managing a performance bump to 550/500 MB/s read/write. Ideal for creators or anyone who moves big files around on a regular.
All in all, AGI took a step further and higher compared to last year’s product line, and we are also happy that we can expect more from this brand in the future.
