World’s slimmest foldable smartphone OPPO Find N5 officially goes for RM7,999 in Malaysia

The world’s slimmest foldable smartphone is here in Malaysia. Behold the OPPO Find N5.

The ability to maximize every aspect of a foldable smartphone is a real challenge yet OPPO has solved a lot of them with a leading tech breakthrough of 7000-series aluminum frame + nanocrystal glass for the outer screen + anti-shock film for the inner display in addition to the IPX6 + IPX8 + IPX9 water and dust resistance rating.

The newly developed 3D-printed Titanium Alloy Flexion Hinge reduces the crease, being 10% narrower and 50% shallower than its predecessor. Certified by TÜV Rheinland for reliable folding, the hinge is 26% smaller and 36% more rigid.

Measuring at just 8.93mm thick when folded and 4.21mm thin at its slimmest point when unfolded, the inside is the latest and most powerful Qualcomm SoC as expected.

Meanwhile, the Hasselblad Master Camera is “ported” from the Find X8 to provide some flagship-class image and video recording experience that can be used even in the most professional settings.

As for software, the device can be setup to run 3 apps side-by-side and can be further augmented with the optional OPPO Pen stylus. If you’re using some other Mac devices, the O+ Connect feature can be found here too – allowing seamless remote access to Mac devices, supporting drag-and-drop across apps and multi-finger gestures on a virtual trackpad.

And of course, you have all the AI features like I Call Summary, AI Translation, AI Image Editing, and native Google Gemini support with Circle to Search to streamline productivity.

Lastly, 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates are guaranteed for ease of use.
