The event will be held at two locations: the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from March 18 to 21 and the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from March 20 to 22. Organizers anticipate participation from 59 countries and regions, 138 cities, and 2,806 international attendees, with the top five visiting countries being Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, and Hungary.

Notably, a delegation of more than ten Ukrainian city leaders will take part, with dedicated events such as the “Ukraine Recovery and Reconstruction Business Opportunities Forum” and international matchmaking sessions aimed at exploring Taiwan’s role in Ukraine’s rebuilding efforts through smart technology.

A key highlight this year is the debut of the “Smart City Global Co-Creation Pavilion,” which seeks to enhance collaboration between Taiwanese enterprises and global partners. Companies such as Japan’s NTT, Singapore’s Singtel, Thailand’s AIS, and the IOWN Global Forum will showcase smart city solutions, including all-optical networks, smart streetlights, and various smart city applications. Additionally, winners of the System Integration Award, including SYSCOM Group and Wave-In, will present successful international projects.

As in previous years, the expo will feature leading companies such as Acer Group, ASUS, Chunghwa Telecom, Far EasTone, Foxconn, MiTAC, SECOM, SYSCOM Group, Tatung, Taiwan Mobile, TECO, and Quanta. These companies will highlight their latest AI-driven solutions aimed at advancing smart transportation, healthcare, building management, and energy efficiency.

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications is also introducing the “Low-Carbon Mobility Pavilion,” which will showcase the Taiwan EV Power Supplement Alliance’s smart charging station standards and applications.

Companies such as Foxconn and Master Bus will exhibit their latest electric buses, while discussions on integrating large EV batteries with virtual power grids will highlight new business opportunities for electric bus operators. Meanwhile, the “Smart Startups Program” will bring together 115 startups from 11 accelerators worldwide, featuring innovations in smart technology and green sustainability.

In an effort to accelerate Taiwan’s net-zero transition, the inaugural “Urban Energy Transition Award” will recognize outstanding achievements in energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and resource recycling. Based on government open data and local net-zero initiatives, Pingtung County and Kaohsiung City will be honored in the “Energy Transition” category, while Kinmen County and Taipei City will be recognized for “Circular Resource Promotion.” Award recipients will present their accomplishments during the exhibition.

Overall, this year’s SCSE, themed “Digital and Green Transformation,” will emphasize AI applications, smart governance, energy efficiency, virtual power plants, net-zero sustainability, and global collaboration. The event aims to propel Taiwan forward in its digital and net-zero transformation journey.
