Proton Refreshes S70 With Sporty Feel, Price Start From RM68k
PROTON has unveiled the 2026 PROTON S70, a sports sedan which it says is designed to meet the expectations of young professionals and growing families entering a new stage of life.
According to the national car maker, the PROTON S70 has recorded strong market acceptance, more than 38,000 units sold since launch.
Powering the 2026 PROTON S70 is the i-GT 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, paired with a 7- speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Producing 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, it delivers strong, responsive acceleration, reaching 0–100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds, while maintaining impressive fuel efficiency of 5.7L/100km. Jointly developed with PROTON’s global partner Geely, the advanced powertrain incorporates low-inertia turbocharging, friction and vibration reduction technologies and comprehensive durability testing to ensure best performance, reliability, fuel efficiency and reduced engine’s Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH).
The 2026 PROTON S70 is available in four variants – Executive, Premium, Flagship and Flagship X and comes in range of exterior colours, including Quartz Black, Marine Blue, Space Grey, Snow White, Armour Silver, and the newly introduced Ruby Red.
