OriginOS 6 and 200MP ZEISS Lens Define Upcoming vivo X300 Series
vivo Details X300 Series with 200MP Telephoto Lens and New OriginOS 6
vivo Malaysia detailed the technical specifications of its upcoming X300 smartphone series at a media briefing today, focusing on a new high-resolution telephoto camera system and a redesigned operating system, OriginOS 6.

Company engineers outlined the flagship phone’s imaging hardware, which is centred around a ZEISS 200MP APO Super Telephoto lens. The system uses fluorite-grade glass elements in a floating periscope structure, a design intended to reduce chromatic aberration and maintain image sharpness. It is paired with a custom Blueprint Samsung HPB sensor, which vivo states enables 4x lossless optical output.
“Our collaboration with ZEISS has delivered an industry-leading 200MP APO Super Telephoto system,” said Keshav Chugh, Senior Product Manager of Image Effects at vivo Global. He explained the technology aims to “ensure users can capture clear details even from extreme distances.”

The camera system also includes gimbal-inspired stabilisation rated at CIPA 5.5-level. Software features such as the “Blueprint Extreme Tracking Engine” are used for tracking fast-moving subjects, while NICE 3.0 and MAGIC 2.0 algorithms process images to enhance texture and detail. A “Dual-View Stage Recording” feature was also announced, allowing simultaneous recording from front and rear cameras.

Alongside the camera, vivo presented OriginOS 6, the latest version of its operating system. Yvonne, OS Product Manager at vivo, described the system as an “integrated approach” designed for long-term reliability.
A key feature is the “Origin Smooth Engine,” which has received SGS 5-Year Sustained Smoothness Certification. This component optimises kernel scheduling, memory management, and motion rendering to maintain responsive performance over time.
The new operating system also introduces several user-interface and productivity features. “Flip Cards” and “Origin Island” are new UI elements for managing tasks and notifications. For productivity, a “vivo Office Kit” has been included to facilitate file synchronisation and workflow management between the phone and desktop computers.
