OPPO pumps out performance in on-device AI at Snapdragon Summit 2025
OPPO’s presence at Snapdragon Summit 2025 in Beijing has seen the brand demonstrating some of the fastest on-device AI to date.
Its close collaboration with Qualcomm through the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 has enabled the chip to push past 200 tokens per second in AI inference speed, roughly equal to 2 seconds of processing speed to spit out a full page of text.
With such performance, OPPO is looking at multi-paragraph translations and creative content generation right on your phone, without having to lean on the cloud, especially with its smartphones.
They also demonstrated improvements in context handling via their in-house long-context acceleration tech, capable of handling 128K tokens at once, while combining hybrid AI play in terms of merging local speed and privacy restriction with the scalability of cloud services, resulting in an ecosystem that keeps getting better with OS updates, ensuring smoother, smarter, and more secure AI experiences.
Looking ahead, Oppo says it’s building toward agentic AI powered by a “user-knowledge system” designed to cut down on information clutter. Add in privacy safeguards like its Private Computing Cloud (PCC), plus strong ties with Qualcomm, and they are aiming to deliver these AI-driven features to nearly 100 million people by the end of 2025.
