Nothing releases the new Phone (3a) Community Edition built in collaboration with its fan community
Building on the popular Phone (3a), Nothing has launched a brand-new Phone (3a) Community Edition, created through its recent Community Edition Project that attracted more than 700 entries covering design, software, and accessory concepts.
Starting off with the winning hardware and packaging design, it draws inspiration from late-90s and early-2000s tech aesthetics, a period when products looked noticeably different from what we see today.
The result is a colour and design direction that feels nostalgic yet fresh — reminiscent of retro game devices while still fitting within the futuristic identity of the Nothing Phone (3a).
For the new accessory category introduced in 2025, the winning design is the Dice. Dice have been used for thousands of years as symbols of chance, strategy, and play.
It sports numbers styled in Nothing’s Ndot 55 font, combining the familiar dotted look of traditional dice with the brand’s clean, tech-driven visual language.
Furthermore, the winning software design element is a custom clock face built using multiple font weights. This approach reduces visual clutter and helps guide attention to the most important information — reflecting Nothing’s focus on intentional, minimal design.
Pricing and Availability
Limited to only 1,000 units, Malaysians can now purchase the new Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition (12+256GB) at a price of RM1,699.
