Nothing Unveils Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, Targets Budget Segment with Flagship-Level Features

Nothing has officially expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite. The new device aims to bring the company’s signature transparent design and clean software experience to a more accessible price point.

Nothing Phone (3a) Lite

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite launched in select markets with pricing starting at £249 / €249 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage model, and £279 / €289 for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage model (approximately RM1,450 and RM1,625 respectively, though official local pricing is not set).

Despite its “Lite” branding, the phone boasts several premium specifications. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro processor built on a 4nm process and features a large 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a high peak brightness of 3000 nits. The device is also equipped with a substantial 5,000 mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging.

A key highlight is the camera system. The Phone (3a) Lite features a 50 MP main sensor, which, according to Nothing, is powered by the same TrueLens Engine 4.0 found in its flagship Nothing Phone (3). A 16 MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.

In a departure from its more expensive siblings, the Phone (3a) Lite introduces “Glyph Light,” a simplified, single-light version of the brand’s well-known Glyph Interface. This light still provides core functions like “Flip to Glyph” for silent notifications and a camera countdown timer.

The phone runs on Nothing OS 3.5 (based on Android 15) and comes with a strong software support promise: three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches.

While the phone is available in Europe and the UK, at the time of writing, official pricing and availability for the Malaysian market have not yet been announced.
