NetApp Strengthens Channel Leadership with Surge in AI-ready Partners

NetApp, the Intelligent Data Infrastructure company, has reported strong regional momentum through its Partner Sphere programme, with the number of partners certified to sell its AI solutions in Asia-Pacific tripling over the past year.

The programme, which focuses on capability development and incentives, has introduced 16 solution competencies spanning AI, cloud transformation, cyber resilience and data infrastructure modernisation. These are designed to help partners address enterprises’ complex digital transformation needs and grow new revenue streams.

According to NetApp, the initiative has improved partner profitability by supporting multiple selling motions and providing resources such as demo gear, certification tracks and co-branding opportunities. The company’s efforts have earned recognition as a 2025 Customers’ Choice in the Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice Distinction and a 5-Star Storage Vendor Program by CRN.

“APAC, including Malaysia, is a hotbed for innovation. Organisations need resilient, unified data storage systems to get the most out of their data and AI investments. Our partners are expanding into new markets with our industry-leading portfolio and driving measurable business outcomes,” said Ganesan Arumugam, Senior Director, Channel Sales & Alliances for APAC at NetApp (left in pic).

Henry Kho, Area Vice President and General Manager for ASEAN, Greater China and South Korea (right in pic), added that Malaysia’s AI Nation 2030 agenda presents a “shared opportunity” for collaboration.

“Together with our partners, we’re enabling Malaysian organisations to propel their AI ambitions with intelligent data platforms that integrate storage and security seamlessly,” he said.

Locally, NetApp works with partners such as CTC Global Sdn Bhd to deliver high-performance infrastructure to sectors including manufacturing. “Through NetApp’s partner programme, our teams are better equipped to help Malaysian manufacturers handle demanding workloads and boost productivity,” said Kevin Chong Sin Woo, Director of Systems at CTC Global.
