HSS Seals Connection Agreement With TNB For 30MW Solar Project
HSS Engineers Berhad (HEB) announced that its subsidiary, SM01, has signed a New Enhanced Dispatch Arrangement (NEDA) Connection Agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad, marking a key step forward in the company’s renewable energy ambitions under Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP).
The agreement, enables SM01 to connect and supply solar-generated energy to TNB’s grid system in line with the NEDA guidelines issued by the Energy Commission.
Under the terms of the deal, SM01 will construct, own, operate and maintain a 29.99 MWac solar photovoltaic facility, which will generate renewable energy to be sold virtually through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Pearl Computing Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the designated corporate consumer.
HEB said the NEDA connection provides its project with access to TNB’s bulk power network, facilitating the export of renewable energy from the facility once operational.
While the agreement will have no immediate financial impact on the company’s earnings or net assets for the financial year ending 31 December 2025, HEB expects the project to contribute positively to revenue and profits between 2027 and 2047, when the plant begins commercial operations.
