Galaxy S25 series arrives; new design, new colors, and interesting accessories

The wait is finally over – the Samsung Galaxy S25 arrives and the Ultra comes with a new design with new colors and of course – many new features, alongside the accessories.
For this round, we have the Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25+, and also the Galaxy S25 Ultra. No idea where’s the rumored Slim since it was not shown during the briefing.
All the three phones within the Galaxy S25 series are using the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy worldwide but no idea what’s the difference between the “for Galaxy” and the “standard” Snapdragon 8 Elite yet. I was hoping for MediaTek or Exynos – but alas, we’re stuck with Snapdragon. You can watch our review of the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition to know why.
These 3 phones will also have larger vapor chambers, and they are using a new TIM – thermal interface material – for better heat conduction from the chipset to the heatsink. That’s a good upgrade, but we’ll test it out to see if it’s actually effective or not – we’ll have further tests later.
The Galaxy S25 series are also lighter – and the Ultra is getting much thinner and lighter than before. It practically has a 6.9-inch screen now and it has rounded corners. Now, one thing that Samsung also mentioned to us is the removal of the magic wand feature called Air Gestures that was introduced alongside the Galaxy Note9. I guess that’s how they manage to trim out a lot of the weight.
The new S Pen does have a bigger tip, so that will also change how it feels while drawing or writing on the screen.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also using the Corning Gorilla Armor 2 with next-generation DX anti-reflection surface treatment at the front, and the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 at the back. While we’re here, we also need to talk about the new 50MP sensor for the ultrawide angle camera. The cameras on the Galaxy S25 and the S25+ remain the same as before once again.
It is available in 7 different colors – Titanium Silverblue, Titanium Whitesilver, Titanium Gray, and Titanium Black. The other three are online exclusive colors which were not shown on that day – Titanium Pinkgold, Titanium Jetblack, and Titainum Jadegreen.
Both the Galaxy S25 and S25+ will by equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and also available in 4 colors – Navy, Icyblue, Mint, Silver Shadow, and 3 more online exclusive colors are Blueblack, Coralred, and Pinkgold.
A quick mention here is that the new Galaxy S25 series are using 50% recycled cobalt from old Galaxy devices or discarded from manufacturing, and the entire Galaxy S25 series will also have 7 generations of Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches. Yes, this is pertaining Samsung’s sustainability goals.
There are two more interesting cases. The first one is done in collaboration with Hersheys and that case makes your phone look like a chocolate bar.
The second collaboration is with Crocs. Interstingly enough, the case is made from the same material as their shoes – and it also has those holes for the Jibbitz to fit in. Since I was wearing crocs, I took one of those Jibbitz and hey – they’re cross-compatible!
While I do love this case, I don’t think I can even use it since I can’t put the whole thing in my pocket. That strap cannot be removed, just like the shoe.
There are a lot more upgrades done to the Galaxy S25 series that was not mentioned since our session with the S25 series was very short.
