Dyson Reinvents Wet Cleaning with Sleek, Ultra-Light PencilWash
Dyson has unveiled the PencilWash™, its lightest and slimmest wet floor cleaner yet. With a pencil-thin 38mm handle and weighing just 2.2kg overall (380g in hand), it’s designed to glide effortlessly across your floors, reach under low furniture, and navigate along walls and skirting boards without any hassle.
Hygiene is at the heart of the design. The PencilWash™ cleans using fresh water only, thanks to its combination of hydration, agitation, and extraction technologies.
Its high-density microfibre roller tackles wet spills, stains, and dry debris in a single pass, while the filter-free system eliminates trapped dirt, bacteria, sludge, or odours—so you get a consistently clean floor without the usual maintenance headaches.
You can adjust water flow with two hydration modes, making it easy to handle anything from light spills to stubborn stains, all while leaving a quick-drying finish.
It’s a 300ml clean water tank covers up to 100m²—roughly the size of a three-bedroom Malaysian condominium—on a single 30-minute charge, so you can clean more in one go.
John Churchill, Dyson’s Chief Technology Officer, explains: “We’re focused on making machines smaller and lighter while improving performance. PencilWash™ is our slimmest, ultra-light format that reaches where others can’t.”
