Decliners Thump Gainers On Sell-Offs Across Multiple Sectors
Decliners continue to outpace gainers today to close the trading week as 777 counters closed lower compared to 185, while 366 counters were unchanged.
Among those that closed on a downward trend were United Plantations Bhd, who lost 50 sen to close at RM21.42, followed by Hong Leong Bank Bhd and Malaysia Pacific Industries, who shed 36 sen each to RM19.88 and RM17.16, respectively. Petronas Dagangan Bhd decreased 32 sen to RM18.20 and Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd dropped 28 sen to end the trading week at RM23.62.
On the other side of spectrum, Nestle (M) Bhd end its trading week positively as the counter closed RM2.90 or 4.14% higher to RM73 after losing RM4.20 for the past two trading days.
Other top five gainers include Heineken Malaysia Bhd increased 14 sen to RM26.50, KLCC Property Holdings Bhd gained 12 sen to RM8.64, and AME REIT and Gas Malaysia Bhd each grew seven sen to RM1.62 and RM4.20 respectively.
