BIWIN teases partial product lineup for its COMPUTEX 2025 exhibition
BIWIN is currently gearing up for COMPUTEX 2025, which is happening from May 20 to 23 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center to show off a bunch of new gear that’s built for speed, power, and performance.
One of the main highlights is their Black Opal SSD lineup, specifically the X570 PRO and X570. These are PCIe Gen5 drives with some serious power of hitting read speeds up to 14,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 13,000 MB/s maintained by the 6nm controller, 8-channel architecture, and 4GB DRAM cache.
If you need something a little more power-efficient, the regular X570 drops the DRAM but still manages up to 14,500 MB/s reads, thanks to things like Host Memory Buffer and dynamic SLC caching.
The DRAM side will showcase the Black Opal OC Lab Gold Edition kit rocking a total of 192GB capacity in a 4-way set, and it comes in DDR5-6400 CL30 and DDR5-6000 CL28 options to provide flexibility in terms of what sort of high-performance load there is, be it gaming or AI tasks.
For the mobile creators who need some portable storage devices, take a look at the Amber PR2000 portable SSD carrying speeds of 2000 MB/s read and 1800 MB/s write, with IP67 rating, verified drop resistance of up to 3 meters, and up to 8TB of capacities – all on the basis of multi-platform support of Windows, macOS, Android, iOS.
And for pro video folks, they’re rolling out CFexpress 4.0 cards: the Amber CB500 and CA400. The CB500 (Type B) tops out at 3750 MB/s read and 3500 MB/s write, and the CA400 (Type A) is still fast at 1850/1750 MB/s. These are built for 8K and even 12K video recording and come with certifications like VPG400 and strong protection against heat, shock, and even X-rays.
If you’re going to attend COMPUTEX personally, be sure to catch BIWIN at Hall 1, Booth #J1028.
