Astro to Halt New Astro Fibre Sign-ups Starting 1 February
Astro to Stop New Astro Fibre Subscriptions Following Strategic Review
Astro has announced that it will halt new sales and subscriber acquisitions for its broadband service, Astro Fibre, effective 1 February 2026.
The decision follows a strategic review of the company’s business operations. In a recent statement, the pay-TV operator confirmed that the suspension of new sign-ups will remain in effect until further notice.
No Impact on Existing Customers

Astro moved quickly to assure its current user base that the change will not affect existing services. Customers who are already subscribed to Astro Fibre, as well as those who sign up before the 1 February deadline, will experience no disruption.
“Astro remains committed to serving and supporting all customers of Astro Fibre,” the company stated. “Your current plan, billing, service quality and support will continue exactly as usual, with no action required from you.”
Support and Operations to Continue
While new customer acquisitions are pausing, operational support for the fibre network will proceed as normal. The company clarified that all technical services, including maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacements, will remain available.
Furthermore, existing customers retain the flexibility to manage their subscriptions. The statement noted that users can still upgrade or change their plans, and requests for relocation will continue to be supported, subject to coverage availability.
Contact Information
Astro has advised customers requiring assistance to contact their support line at 03-9543 3838 or email [email protected]. Any future updates regarding the status of the fibre business will be communicated through official channels.
