ASNB Declares Income For ASM 5.5 sen, 5 sen For ASB 2, Pays Out RM2.36 Billion In FY26
Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad, the wholly-owned unit trust management company of Permodalan Nasional Berhad has announced a total income distribution payout of RM2.36 billion for the financial year ending March 31, 2026.
The payout benefits over 1.4 million unitholders across two of its fixed-price funds: Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 (ASB 2) and Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM).
Despite a volatile global economic landscape characterized by geopolitical tensions and uneven growth, both funds maintained competitive returns consistent with the previous financial year.
| Fund | Total Payout | Distribution per Unit | Number of Unitholders | Total Units Held |
| ASB 2 | RM0.82 Billion | 5.50 sen | 680,141 | 15.88 Billion |
| ASM | RM1.54 Billion | 5.00 sen | 786,088 | 31.22 Billion |
As of March 24, 2026, ASB 2 recorded a net realised income of RM0.90 billion, while ASM recorded RM1.64 billion.
ASNB attributed the steady performance to a disciplined, long-term strategic asset allocation. By diversifying into fixed income, real estate, and private investments, the funds successfully buffered against market swings. Notably, a higher allocation to fixed-income assets provided the necessary stability to ensure consistent income during periods of uncertainty.
The distributions of ASB 2 and ASM translate to total returns of 5.50% and 5.00% respectively, both outperforming the benchmark of Maybank’s 12-Month Fixed Deposit at 2.18% by 332 basis points for ASB 2 and 282 basis points for ASM
The declared distribution will be automatically credited into unitholders’ accounts on April 1, 2026.
