Acer @ COMPUTEX 2025: New venture into smart ring and TWS via Acer Gadget branding
To everyone’s surprise, Acer has decided to launch yet another sub-brand for themselves and they call it Acer Gadget, to, well, sell smart gadgets.
With the gradual rise of smart ring products in the market, Acer wants a piece of that pie too, through this new FreeSense Ring.
Made from lightweight titanium alloy and packed with biometric sensors, it racks your heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen levels, and even how well you’re sleeping. The data syncs up with an app that gives you personalized health tips, and best of all, there are no extra fees to access your stats. It seems like Acer is trying to make health tracking more accessible without locking features behind a subscription.
Then there are the AI TransBuds, which are wireless earbuds with built-in AI translation. What’s neat is that only one person needs to wear them for real-time two-way voice translation to work.
They’re designed for everything from casual chats and business meetings to livestreams and online classes. You even get live captions and transcripts. Right now, they support 15 major languages across Asia, the Americas, and Europe.
And for people into green transport, Acer Gadget showed off their latest e-scooters and e-bikes. They’ve got several models, like the Predator ES Storm and ES Thunder, all running motors in the 400 W to 500 W range.
They come with adaptive brakes and suspension systems, plus an app to track stats and tweak settings. They also brought out the Predator eRanger again, which is that fat-tire e-bike they first revealed at the Taipei Cycle Show earlier this year.
Currently, there is no news on rthe elease timeframe and price for any region, so perhaps they’ll come a bit later.
