Disney+ to Launch TikTok-Style Feed for Browsing Content

Disney+ to Introduce Vertical Video Feed, Aiming to Boost Discovery at CES 2026

In a move to capture the attention of younger audiences and drive engagement, Disney announced at CES 2026 that it will soon integrate a vertical video feed directly into the Disney+ app.

The new feature, tentatively styled as a “shorts” experience, mirrors the popular scrolling formats seen on TikTok and Instagram Reels. It is designed to serve as a discovery tool, serving users bite-sized clips from Disney’s massive library of movies and series to encourage them to watch the full-length content.

Disney executives described the feature as an evolution of the streaming interface. Rather than scrolling through static thumbnails, users will soon be able to swipe through a dynamic feed of highlights, behind-the-scenes footage, and classic moments from franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and National Geographic.

“We want to meet our fans where they are and how they prefer to consume content,” said a company spokesperson during the CES presentation. “This vertical feed allows users to sample our vast library in a fun, fast-paced way, turning a thirty-second clip into a two-hour movie night.”

The integration acknowledges the shifting consumption habits of modern viewers, who increasingly spend time on short-form video platforms. By keeping this interaction within the Disney+ ecosystem, the company aims to increase time spent on the app and reduce “decision paralysis” when users are looking for something to watch.

If a user sees a clip they like in the vertical feed, a simple tap will take them directly to the movie or episode page to begin watching immediately.

Availability

The vertical video update is expected to roll out to Disney+ subscribers globally later this year, starting with mobile devices before potentially expanding to smart TV interfaces.
