Dato’ Ngu, 58, was previously a director of the company and now assumes an executive role at the board level. The redesignation does not involve the appointment of a new director but reflects an expanded scope of responsibilities.

His professional background spans corporate finance, business consultancy, investment banking and venture capital.

He has also led and participated in numerous public and private investments across multiple jurisdictions, including Mongolia, Kazakhstan, China, Hong Kong, Indochina, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Indonesia. Currently, Dato’ Ngu sits on the boards of several public and private companies. He is the largest shareholder of both Khee San Berhad and Ta Win Holdings Berhad, and also serves as Senior Executive Director of Ta Win Holdings Berhad.

Khee San noted that there is a family relationship within the board and major shareholders, as Ms Ngu Chienn Ying, a director of the company, is the daughter of Dato’ Sri Ngu. The company added that there are no conflicts of interest arising from his redesignation.

As at the date of the announcement, Dato’ Sri Ngu has a direct interest of 120,000 ordinary shares, representing 0.09% of Khee San’s issued share capital, and an indirect interest of 37.33 million shares, equivalent to 27.20%.
