Our Story: From a Single Outlet to a Nationwide Favorite

Uncle Don’s began its journey in 2015 with the opening of its first outlet in SS2, Petaling Jaya. Founded with a mission to provide great food and an inviting atmosphere, the restaurant quickly gained popularity for its combination of delicious local cuisine and affordable alcoholic beverages. The brand’s success led to rapid expansion, with the second outlet opening soon after in Publika, followed by additional branches in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Hartamas, and Taipan.

In 2018, in a bid to ensure consistency and the highest standards of quality across all outlets, Uncle Don’s took an important step by launching a central kitchen spanning 18,000 square feet. This facility enabled the brand to streamline its food production and maintain the taste and quality of every dish served at all locations.

By 2020, Uncle Don’s had firmly established itself as a well-loved chain, opening three more outlets in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Seremban, marking a significant milestone with its 19th, 20th, and 21st branches. That same year, Uncle Don’s was recognized with the prestigious Golden Bull Award, a testament to the brand’s excellence in the food industry. As reported by the Malay Mail, Uncle Don’s was celebrated for its ability to cater to a diverse clientele, offering both affordable drinks and local delicacies, making it a favorite among the Indian and Chinese populations in the areas where it operates.

The years that followed saw Uncle Don’s rapidly expand, reaching 44 outlets by 2021. With this impressive growth, the brand’s presence in Peninsular Malaysia has become significant, making it a household name for those seeking good food in a relaxed environment. The restaurant chain offers a wide variety of local and international dishes, each crafted with care to suit every palate.

In early 2023, Uncle Don’s continued its expansion with 42 outlets in operation across Peninsular Malaysia, showing no signs of slowing down in its mission to provide delicious food and great service to more communities.

Uncle Don’s operates under Uncle Don’s Holdings Sdn Bhd, which is comprised of two wholly owned subsidiaries. Uncle Don’s Restaurants Sdn Bhd (UDRSB) manages the operations of all the restaurant outlets, ensuring a high standard of service, while Uncle Don’s Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (UDMSB) oversees the production and distribution of all food and beverage items served in the restaurants. This structure has allowed Uncle Don’s to maintain consistency and quality across its many locations, delivering an experience that guests have come to expect from the brand.
