In 2010, The Alley experienced a close call when an apartment building next door caught fire. While the fire severely damaged the apartment complex, it was fortunately contained and did not spread to the bar. This incident was a stark reminder of how fragile history can be, yet The Alley stood strong, continuing to serve as a cherished gathering place for many.
